About Kobie
Kobie is the name of more than one artist: 1) pop-punk band from Akron, OH 2) UK garage artist 3) hip-hop / pop artist 1) Kobie "were" a 4 piece pop-punk band from Akron, OH who met many friends through this band and we are all currently working on their respected projects, lives, families, etc. Since Kobie parted ways Jon worked on many bands,(one with ex-member Josh Taylor that didn't end up working out) none of which have surpassed the following that "Rumore" did. Rumore is no longer together but Jon has moved on to other projects and is currently working on a solo project, and residing in Nashville, TN. Danny moved to California for a couple years soon after Kobie moved on, but came back to join "The Great Depression" (who is now known as This Awkward Silence),which was another pop punk band from the Canton area, they went on to play a couple of warped tours, and some really big shows, along with being one of myspaces' top bands in Ohio and abroad. After recording a couple tracks with the band Danny decided to move onward with his endeavors though, and later joined "SpareChange", which was a band that frequented the stage with Kobie quite often. Soon after Danny moved back from California he decided that it might be in his best interest to move away again, this time to Texas, and try his luck with some other music outside of Ohio. Soon after moving away he realized that things were not quite happening, and decided to move back to Ohio, to be with friends and family. Danny has re-joined SpareChange, but they have become somewhat inactive as of late, there is no current show dates, or upcoming album info . After Kobie, Chris decided to try his hand at the recording aspect of music, as he was always the brains behind the sound that Kobie had formulated in the short time that they were together. Chris worked on various projects, including the likes of Bellewood, and Joshes current band Friends Back east, amongst many others. Chris played both bass and guitar in various acts such as Drowning Poet, and Catch me A Spy. He currently isn't involved in any bands at the moment, but is working on raising a family and making a career for himself. After Kobie, Josh worked on various punk/hardcore projects, as this was the music that he felt was his calling. In mid 2004 he joined "Novallos", which was former members of "The Narcoleptics", current members of Sleeper Horse(CO), and current members of "Between Thieves". Novallos went on a small tour through Chicago and other areas of the midwest, and only played a handful of local shows, though they only had one demo recorded to their name, they had a big following in the Cleveland area, and still remain great friends. Friends Back East was his next project after Novallos finished their run. They were a punk/ hardcore band that mainly played shows in Akron/Cleveland, along w/ a handful of out of town shows. They released an ep, a 7 inch, and a full length that you can probably find on interpunk, or for free if you google it. Josh also worked for a short time with a band by the name of Novels, but they only played a handful of shows, and fizzled out shortly after starting. Currently, Josh is playing and touring in a band based out of Cleveland,Ohio by the name of "Worship This!" A derivative of his former pop-punk bands, fused with a bit of the melodic hardcore that we heard in Friends Back East. Their demo is available online for free at DeathToFalseHopeRecords.com and they're currently in the process of releasing a 7' to follow it up.
