About Knu-1
Malik Manley, who takes the alias of Knu-1, is an up-and-coming music producer whose goal is to "give the eardrums something to smile about from ear to ear". At age 7, he was introduced to the drum set, setting the stage for his musical talents. At age 14 he was introduced to the bass guitar, which solidified his ability to "catch the rhythm". He didnt begin producing music until age 16. Making small-time beats for friends here and there and fine tuning his music production skills. Now Knu-1 focuses more on a smooth sound that he describes as "Psychotropic", which means having an effect on the mind, as does a psychotropic drug. Making the connection between music and a drug, he makes his music simplistic, yet intricately composed with sounds that make you "addicted" and "uplifted".
