About Kirk Smithhart Band

Kirk Smithhart shares a birthplace with the blues - Memphis, Tennessee. Raised and steeped in the rich musical landscape of Mississippi, he emerged as a musical powerhouse at a young age. Influenced by such greats as Jeff Healey, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, at 19 he was awarded the Albert King Award for the Best Unsigned Blues Guitarist at the International Blues Talent Competition. With amazing dexterity and creativity, Kirk melds elements of blues, metal, rock, country, and his own unique sound to create a musical experience unlike any other. His incredible mastery of guitar, raw, powerful vocal ability, and keen sensibility for combining moving lyrics with unique, poignant music have gained a loyal fan base and international attention. After a global tour as the lead guitarist for Hill Country Revue, as well as acclaimed and international performances sharing the stage with the North Mississippi Allstars, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Warren Haynes, m.o.e., J.J. Grey & Mofro, Eric Johnson, Eric Gales, Monte Montgomery, Robert Randolph, and many more, Kirk is emerging as a solo artist - sure to break new musical ground and win over music lovers worldwide.
