About Kings of the Day

Kings of the Day is an indie rock band from Vaals, the most southern town in The Netherands. Formed in 2006, the band soon enjoyed success in the south of their homecountry. Winning an important band competition saw the quartet playing at the Pinkpop festival in May 2009, which was headlined by The Killers and Bruce Springsteen. Musically, Kings of The Day is heavily influenced by bands such as Bloc Party, The Killers, and Taking Back Sunday. Their music also incorporates guitar and drum sounds similar to those of U2, Editors, and Snow Patrol. Kings Of The Day released an EP and one single as of mid-2009.
