About King Sun-D Moet
His first, D-Moet was to team up with a local rap sensation named King Sun. Together they formed the pioneering rap group King Sun/D-Moet. Their first release was the groundbreaking rap single "Hey Love" on Zakia/Profile Records. This rap record broke down commercial radio barriers that future rap artists walk through and follow. As a result of the underground, national and international success of the hit record "Hey Love," D-Moet decided to focus full time as a producer. He has since become a multi-platinum producer, the recipient of 16 Billboard Awards, nominated for Grammy, Brit, Source Awards, etc. He has worked with entertainment companies such as; Universal, Warner Bros., Atlantic, Virgin, Motown, A&M, Def Jam, Island, Polygram, EMI, Sony, Columbia, Epic, Elektra, BMG International, Death Row & MTV. He has worked with artists such as; Snoop Dog, Alicia Keys, P. Diddy, Queen Latifah, Mos Def, Nas, Foxy Brown, Fat Joe, Twista, Kurrupt, Canibus, Nate Dog, Melle Mel, Carl Thomas, Joe, Gerald Levert, Too Short, Doug E. Fresh, etc. He has also produced music for Burger King and L'Oreal commercials as well as music for soundtracks and video games.
