About Killanation
The Killanation were born in Milan in 2002, with the idea of mixing electro with electric instruments, in order to create a trasversal sound between techno and punk: psycore 3 is our definition. Passion for electronic music and for musical research has been the basis of this project since the very beginning when RealyK (vox), Djtal Brain (Synth), Buddy8 (guitar) and 4got10 (bass) decided to assemble a hybrid group aiming at balancing electronic set and live band. From two years the band recorded their first demo (“K”, Icaro Tealdi 2004) which had them noticed in the milan live scene. It was in this period that the band' s typical sound was taking shape: aggressive, dark and as adrenalynic as a dj set to be danced to faintness. Because of misunderstandings and personal problems Buddy8 and 4got10 left the band and early in 2006 Kaboom (guitar) and Hell'O-B (bass) tookover, affecting the sound with their own musical influences. Few months later the band recorded their second demo(“HypnoViolentParty”, 4 tracks, Icaro Tealdi 2006). The new line-up, which in the meantime was joined by ELZ23 (vox) too, could show them selves with various particular live shows such as the Milan “Mayday” parades (2006 – 2007), which was the perfect evidence of how the band can get into contexts usually reserved to electronic music. They were very successful, the audience being impressed by their energy. In 2007 the band played as opening guests in some of Tying Tiffany' s concerts and spread also abroad, giving concerts in London and Lugano. Right now they are about to release a new full lenght album (12 tracks, 2007 Dysto Prod.) and they are involved in a thick activity of live gigs in northern Italy.
