About Kendall Peña

Kendall Peña is a singer-songwriter and experience-maker from Desamparados, Costa Rica. His pop style blends emotional lyrics with immersive melodies, and he has stood out in the Central American music scene thanks to his authenticity and artistic creativity. His career took off in 2021 with the EP Arde — originally conceived as his university thesis project for a degree in Advertising Design, inspired by Rosalía, who also tied her academic work to music. The EP explored the stages of love and heartbreak and conquered digital platforms with hits like Eternos and Tu Canción, the latter of which reached #1 on Costa Rica's 94.7 FM and the Top 50 Viral Costa Rica on Spotify. His single Adiós also went viral on TikTok, generating over 400,000 creations. His talent and connection with the audience led him to sign with Universal Music and GTS México in October 2023, making him the only Costa Rican artist with a deal of this level. Before signing, he had already shared stages as an opening act for artists such as Melendi, Jesse & Joy, Camilo, and Sin Bandera. More recent singles like Difícil de amar, Todo acaba mal, and Calles de Madrid have continued a narrative arc rooted in nostalgia and melancholy. Beyond music, Kendall has built an identity in entertainment, exploring fashion and lifestyle as part of his artistic expression. His presence on social media — especially TikTok, where his career first gained momentum through covers during the pandemic — has allowed him to interact with major figures like Rosalía and Morat, cementing his personal brand as an innovative and versatile artist. With each song and project, Kendall aims to move, inspire, and leave a mark on the industry.
