About Keith Mullins

Keith Mullins is a Dublin based singer/songwriter. He hates tomatoes but loves tomato ketchup. Mullins has been playing and writing songs since he was 16 years old after winning his first guitar in a raffle. He’s come a long way since. His first release came in the form of “At Evensong”, an album recorded with his then band Pier Nineteen. The album received much critical acclaim and the band played many high profile shows with such artists as Bell x1, Duke Special & The Stunning to name a few. He then took some time out from the band to complete a Masters in Music Technology at the University of Limerick. This allowed him to explore different styles of writing and is where he wrote most of the songs on the record. Recorded during the winter of 2008, The Great Atlantic which is Keith's first solo recording is an expression of alternative country propelled by interwoven guitars, free flowing fiddles, skiffle rhythms and, of course, exquisitely fragile vocals. The lyrics, which combine honesty with subtlety, sweep through the compositions with the passive wisdom of an autumn breeze. The Great Atlantic aims to draw you in with a mixture of lively and slow, clear and complex. The Great Atlantic is set for release in early 2010. Hoooray!
