KateGoes are an indiepop group based in Birmingham. Voiced by Kate Thompson and Beth Hopkins, other band members include Susie Minnear, Joe Thompson and the elusive Bird. With unique, humorous and sweet lyrics, KateGoes' 'Happy Dancing EP' released in Autumn 2008 created quite a stir in the indie music scene, including the radio hit 'Heartbeat'. The sound, while being fresh and original can be tracked back to the tones of the C86 movement and twee-pop bands such as Shop Assistants, Black Tambourine and even The Waitresses. With a much awaited debut album released in 2010.
