Karolina Brånsgård was one of the 11 finalists in Swedish Idol 2009 but was the first to be eliminated after performing "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga. She was brought into the competition during the audition tour when Anders Bagge received a tip that resulted in him visiting Karolina in her home. She was then persuaded to participate in Idol when Bagge gave her a golden ticket.
