DJ name - Kandie Rush Real name - Andrea Garcia Lives in - Bournemouth Uses Technics 1210 mark 2s and Pioneer CDJ500s with a Numark 8 channel professional pre-amp mixer. Produces with Cubase SX3, Nexus, Trilogy, Sylenth, Glitch, Guru and Antares Autotune. 30yrs DJing for 16 yrs. Started off being interested in DJing when I was 14 and started to attend a weekly under 18s night at the Cage and Zoo in Bournemouth called Equinox. Made friends with the DJ. That xmas him and my mum arranged to get me some decks and tunes and that’s been it from there. I got a regular spot at Equinox. Took a few years out to have babies and a failed marriage at the age of 19 til I was 26. Lol Then got a pair of Numark direct drives and off I went again but HATED house this time round. I wanted to play Hardcore and really got into it. I’ve played a few parties and got involved in a radio station and became admin as the owner was very busy. I look after about 25 DJs there. After a while a mate brought round some D&B. I couldn’t get a mix wrong and loved it. I managed to download some and started to play it on HeadRush FM (the radio station) and had good feedback and now I help run the station. I sent hardcore demos to other radio stations and they took me on board as well. I play on Krafty, History Of Hardcore, Dance Transmission and Underground Exhilaration. I play at large events inc. High Velosity. Hardcore Breakdown, Dance Liberation, and run 2 other hardcore events called Dynamite and Hard Vibrance. I was introduced to a program called Fruity Loops and Nexus Synth and I’ve now produced 6 Hardcore tunes and 1 d&b tune. 3 of the Hardcore tunes is being released on Lethal Theory Raw label and I now have the right to use this name when promoting myself along with the logo. I intend to make many more tunes to come now I’m up and running on Cubase SX3 and lovin it. I can pretty much play everything nowadays but love the hardcore scene.
