About Kalter Glanz

Kalter Glanz band (Phil Cherkasov - vocals, Igor Kaverin - keyboards, backing vocals, Kostya Koshev - guitar, Max Verevkin - bass guitar) was finally formed in the end of 2005. Since 2003 Kalter Glanz were testing themselves in gothic metal which gave large opportunities to the musicians to experiment with vampire tunes, classic guitar riffs and female vocals. Some stages of the band's progress are connected with the names of remarkable people from Moscow underground: "Funeral" from the legendary doom band "Saints Everlasting Rest" who ended up their existence a long time ago and Flo from rather popular gothic rock project "Doppelgagner". It can be said that Kalter Glanz band was built upon the ruins of "Saints" and not the least role in it's formation was played by Igor Kaverin, who devoted a lot of time and strength to the creation of musical compositions and arrangements. Nowdays Kalter Glanz refer themselves to the post-industrial and gothic subculture. Kalter Glanz combines electronic, gothic and ambient sounding together. Band's lyrics completely justify it's title. It is cooled down feelings and iced heart in which one can only at times see a flash of hope. Band is now working on their debut album which is going to appear in the Internet space in the end of spring -- beginning of summer this year. "Ma Faiblesse" composition proposed for the album is presented at the Myspace profile. First single of the band planned for the end of February is also going to be devoted to this composition.
