About Kallie Marie

A composer/producer who began as a visual artist and ballet dancer, Kallie Marie was born in Long Beach, CA. She began painting at the age of two, and began her dance training at the age of four. When she was 13 she became interested in music, and in 2003 moved to the UK to pursue a degree in Music Production at the Leeds College of Music. While there she completed her masters degree in Music Production/Composition. During her time in the UK she had the priviliage of working with many talented musicians such as Nerve Engine, Lifescreen, Anna Hetherington (of Red Go Green Stop), Sarah Dickerson (formerly of Indirah), David Lawrie, Idiophonic, Andrew Brothwell, and Ally Jowett, Ashley Hicklin, and Royst. In addition to these artists Kallie also composed and produced music for The Metropolitan Ballet Company. Once she completed her studies she returned to her native California in November of 2007 to pursue more production and composition work. After spending several months looking for work to no avail, she then moved to New York, NY to continue her search for work. Since her arrival in New York Kallie has worked at various studios and written music for film, tv, and choreographers. She continues to produce and compose, and divides her time between her solo work and her band Explosives For Her Majesty.
