Kim Jonghyun (김종현), born April 8, 1990, commonly known as Jonghyun, was one of the main vocalists in the contemporary r&b group SHINee. He was born and raised in Seoul, Korea, and was discovered at the 2005 S.M. Casting System. Before debuting with SHINee, Jonghyun sang a duet, "Wrongly Given Love" (交错的爱), with SME labelmate 張力尹 (Zhang Liyin) for her debut Chinese album I Will. He is also credited with composing the lyrics for "줄리엣 (Juliette)" in SHINee's second mini album Romeo.
