There are at least two bands named Joseph Merrick: 1) A screamo ensemble from Bangor, Maine, USA 2) A psychedelic / post-rock band from Buenos Aires, Argentina 1) Joseph Merrick was an emotional hardcore band from Bangor, Maine. DIY with some help from friends and the Hungry Ghost Collective Label. The band started as a "two-piece" in the current guitarist's basement in Orrington, Maine. "It just started off as Trevor Taylor & Seth Noyes jamming in Trevor's basement, Trevor played the drums and Seth played the guitar, we brought together Trevor's younger brother (Hayden Taylor) and Travis Davis to make the band a four-piece." They recorded an EP by the end of 2006 called "Colgando Por la Inercia de los Cables" and started to play live. They make their records by themselves and promote them online with free downloads.
