His band opened for the likes of Guns ‘n’ Roses, X & Soundgarden, recorded SEVERAL top selling albums and was featured in a variety of surf, skate and horror films. Though leaving the head post of TSOL in 1996, the love affair between the TSOL with Joe Wood and his fans (who stay true to this unique and liberating sound) continues STILL into 2008....and thrives all over the world. In July, 2008, Joe Wood returned to Brazil singing the songs of TSOL ('83-'96). The fans did not disappoint...singing every word to every song. August 30th to September 1st, 2008, Joe Wood sings TSOL ('83-'96) and will join forces with orignal TSOL drummer, Mitch Dean, for the first time in over a decade. The performance is part of a benefit, music show and art auction to include a multitude of perfomances to include The Knitters, Peter Case, Tex & The Horseheads, Levi Dexter, Dave Alvin & The Guilty Men.
