About Joan Regan

Joan Regan was an English traditional pop music singer born in Romford, Essex on 19 Jan 1928. She was primarily popular during 1950s and 1960s, appearing on the variety circuit in numerous shows, and also on TV. She did a Royal Command Performance in 1955 and was a regular at the London Palladium. Originally talent spotted by impresario Bernard Delfont and signed by Decca Records, she had a hit with 'Ricochet' in 1953. Subsequently she made four albums, had her own TV programme, and international touring engagements across Europe and in the USA. Towards the end of her career, Regan performed many of her concerts in aid of various charities. Married three times, Regan lived in Florida for a time, finally settling in Kent, England with her third husband. He predeceased her, and Joan died on 12 September 2013, aged 85. She is survived by two sons from her first marriage and a daughter from her second.
