João Paulo & Daniel was a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed by singers José Henrique dos Reis (João Paulo) and José Daniel Camillo (Daniel). Both born in Brotas, in the interior of São Paulo state, the friends formed the duo in 1980. In 1985, they released "Amor Sempre Amor," their first studio album. They had several hits throughout their career, such as the song "Estou Apaixonado," a version of "Estoy Enamorado," the duo's main single. The duo ended on September 12, 1997, when a car accident took João Paulo's life. They released eight studio albums during their career and together sold more than 5 million records.
