About JessieLou

JessieLou started out as a radio DJ on internet radio station Variety FM 104 in July 2004, with a weekly top 25 (later top 40) radio show that featured music, comedy segments, and more. The show aired on and off from 2004 to 2020. In 2015, she founded M4B Radio, and since 2016 has hosted the hit music discovery show The Book Club, which airs on the station every Sunday at 8PM Eastern time. She started her music career releasing parody songs such as "Fuglicious" (2011), "U + Ur Bible" (2007), "This App Sucks (Delete!)" (2020) and most notably, "Ugly Vegas" (2005). Although she has written her own non-parody songs before over the years, it wasn't until April 2021 when she released one for the very first time, "Identity Crisis", produced by her frequent collaborator Pipa. The song was a huge late spring/early summer hit on M4B Radio and even spent a week at #1 on the station's weekly top 40 chart. The song was followed by four other hits on the M4B Radio Top 40 - "Let's Pretend There's No Pandemic" (#1), "Left On Read" (#1), "The Culture Has Changed" (#4), and "My Opinion" (#1), all of which were taken from JessieLou's debut album, "Take Me As I Am", released in November 2021. JessieLou's second album, "Love Is Blind", is more experimental than her chart-topping debut, with influences from many different artists including Soundgarden, Rina Sawayama, Natalie Imbruglia, Alice In Chains, Garbage, Janet Jackson, and Radiohead. It's a concept album that tells an autobiographical story about a young girl who feels trapped in an emotionally abusive relationship. The album's lead single, "02.05.2011", world premiered on the M4B Radio show 20Hitz on February 5, 2022 to an overwhelmingly positive response; it has since become another #1 on the M4B Radio Top 40 as well as going top 10 on the Globalchart. The album will be released on April 29, 2022.
