About Jennie Stearns

Jennie Stearns is an American singer/songwriter, born in Carlisle, Ma., who released four albums before (following her divorce from husband Rich Stearns) slightly changing her artist's name into Jennie Lowe Stearns and releasing her fourth album (Blurry Edges, 2011) as Jennie Lowe Stearns & The Fire Choir. From her website: "Down at the dreamy end of the alt-country road, Jennie Stearns plays 'pure Americana' in a class with Emmylou Harris, Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch. Her songs are evocative, poignant, haunting, quintessentially human, by turns heartbreaking and hopeful. [...] Stripped to their essence, eerily graceful, her slow ballads and sweet waltzes sound as if she learned them on someone’s back porch." Studio albums as Jennie Stearns: Angel With A Broken Wing (1998) Mourning Dove Songs (2000) Sing Desire (2002) Birds Fall (2007) Studio album as Jennie Lowe Stearns & The Fire Choir: Blurry Edges (2011)
