About Jasmin Kaset

Jasmin Kaset is from Cottontown, TN. Her mother, Angela Kaset, is a prominent Nashville songwriter. Not dissimilar from The Judds, the two collaborate regularly. In 2010, Kaset partnered with producer Jordan Lehning to make "Hell and Half of Jordan." Recording and writing time spanned 2 years, and the final effort revealed an 18 minute record named by the Nashville Scene as "one of the better (if relatively unheralded) records to come out of our fair city in recent memory." Performed with world-class backing bands in both Nashville, TN and in Melbourne, Australia, Hell and Half of Jordan has been praised for its "arresting melodies, evocative imagery and meticulously unraveling arrangements." Kaset's latest offering, "Quiet Machine," was released in January of 2014. Jasmin also tours extensively as one half of the filth-country duo Birdcloud
