About Jackal Queenston
Jackal Queenston was an alias of Em Essex under the Halley Labs (www.halleylabs.com) label. He was a male jackal who was often seen smoking and wearing attire inspired by the Nazi Party and other WW2 era uniforms. He typically produced drum and bass, characterized by heavy basslines, fast drum breaks, and dark themes alluding to violence or power. Jackal Queenston originally debuted as a new character for the MGD series, with songs first appearing in an 'Addon Pak' and, later on, MGD 3: The Third Rave, released on August 23, 2008. His first album, Rise, included several songs originally made for the game. Due to the rise of Neo-Nazism on the internet, no possibility to redesign this character without connection to offensive content, and the restrictions of the alias's sound, Jackal Queenston was retired around the end of 2020.
