About Jēkabs Voļatovskis
Jēkabs Voļatovskis (b. 1971) is an experimental and noise music sound artist from Rīga, Latvia. He is also known as bass guitarist and musician in Latvian industrial and psychedelic folk project Antarktīda where he have collaborated and performed with members of bands as Kartāga, Gas of Latvia, and Imants Daksis. He is responsible for constructing the engine which is utilized to make a unique vocal performance. Among Voļatovskis latest projects has been mentioned an industrial project Beastyard, and the collaboration of drone doom with Kaspars Rolšteins and Regnārs Vaivars, Orchestral Magnetophons In the Dark, which in 2011 resulted in opera Stockholm Syndrome. http://www.myspace.com/209207545
