There are two artists that operate under the name Iván Torres: 1. Iván Torres is a Chilean singer-songwriter, musician and producer. He is widely considered one of the most prominent musicians of the blues scene in his country. His career began in the early eighties in the Santiago underground, from where he would travel to cities such as Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Montevideo and São Paulo to expand his opportunities. In 2007 he founded Zapatillas Social Blues, a band that today is considered one of the most important on its national scene; Several important musicians from the Chilean blues scene have passed through it, which motivates Iván to call it "the little school of Blues." The band officially debuted by closing the first night of the Al Sur Del Blues Festival at the SCD Bellavista room on Thursday, May 4, 2007.
