In The Company of Men is a five piece progressive hardcore outfit from Iceland, founded in October 2011. Their sound is a kind of Hardcore infused with Metal and Jazz, commonly referred to as Mathcore. The band played extensively in 2012, playing shows in Reykjavík and opening the Eistnaflug festival. In The Company Of Men has gained notoriety in the Icelandic music scene for their technicality, their uniqueness, and their consistently intense and unorthodox stage performances. In early 2013 the band got second place in Músiktilraunir, Iceland’s battle of the bands, and competed in Iceland’s Wacken Metal Battle. The band has big plans in 2013, starting with a debut EP being released in february, playing 2 shows with New York Thrash metal act Penetration, recording a full length later in the year, touring and much more.
