About Iemitsu.
Iemitsu. (previously known as Iemitsu.PRODUCTIONS) is an anthology-like doujin circle that specialized in making Touhou Project arranges and was active from 2005 to 2011. The circle's director, producer and planner was JiNG*da*LaW, though in December of 2010 several months before the circle's termination he stepped down from that role and left it mainly to きくお (Kikuo). They started their activities as Sound Iemitsu. in November 2005 at M3-16, releasing their first album, SI-STYLE/01. Their first Touhou album was IA-STYLE/Toho which released at Reitaisai 3 in May 2006. Until 2009, the circle operated under multiple different names. Sound Iemitsu., which allowed artists freedom to compose songs in their own style, compiling them into genre-blending CDs that offered a wide variety of sounds not seen before in the doujin scene. They released two series on a regular basis: SI-STYLE, a genreless compilation that brings out the individuality of the artists, released twice a year at M3 in the spring and autumnGuren— (紅蓮～), a genre-themed compilation that still emphasized individual expression, released at Comiket in the summer and winter In addition to music production, they also organized collaborative projects with other circles, aiming to go beyond the boundaries of a typical doujin group. Iemitsu./A was a circle focused on game music arrangement that began activities in April 2006 at M3-17, with their first release being IA-STYLE/L+K, featuring arrangements of Leaf and Key's visual novel soundtracks. Like Sound Iemitsu., they also request arrangements from various artists, specifying only the game source while leaving the song and genre up to each arranger. Like Sound Iemitsu., this project encouraged individuality and innovation. Eventually, the group consolidated their activities under the unified name Iemitsu., shifting their full focus to Touhou arrangements.
