About Ideophonic
Ideophonic consist of 4 boys from south Texas. Influenced and inspired by bands like Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Interpol, Death cab For Cutie, As tall as Lions and more; Ideophonic formed in early December 2006 by guitarist Armando and Alex later adding Milton on drums and Joel on bass and vocals. The band has recorded two E.P.s entitled "Haunted Rooms" in 2007 and "Idle Transition" in 2009 and recently their full length called "De Caos Orden" . Their unique sound has been described as melodic alt rock, with loud but catchy waves of guitar-based pop. Ideophonic's songs sound brooding but hummable. The choruses are angsty but catchy. With their unique sound, their songs have been featured on local websites, internet radio stations, news forums, and podcasts. Today the band can be found playing all over, while working and fine tuning songs for a new album. They are scheduled to return for a 2nd year to the highly anticipated South Padre Island International Music Festival, with headliners such as Willie Nelson, Los Lonely Boys and Ghostland Observatory (read less) Ideophonic consist of 4 boys from south Texas.
