It was in the winter of 2003 that 3 individuals from Aizawl decided to pursue and transcend their musical interests and explore territories which no one had dared to before,in the region. Nothing could change their frame of mind and not owing and bowing down to the stereotypicals,they shifted base to Delhi in order to expand their horizons. Thus,IIIrd Sovereign saw the light of the day and since then, there has been no looking back and the band has gone through various phases and have ever evolved,facing numerous obstacles in their evolution with admirable determination. The band remains true to its single-minded resolve, which is making pure and honest music. IIIrd Sovereign perceives it's lyrical interpretation through mortality, nuclear warfare, politics and sins committed which reflects back on our lives and for which the curse of life will always be upon us.
