Hot Vamp Club are an alternative rock quartet from London and Bournemouth, who have been interviewed and featured on BBC Radio One, BBC Introducing for BBC 6 and BBC South, Myspace Music and chosen as Annie Mac’s Unsigned Band Of the Week. In April 2012, Hot Vamp Club’s track ‘Ache’ was included on the first ‘Emerging Icons’ album, curated by the Kaiser Chiefs and released on Universal Records. Download here for £0.79: http://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/emerging-icons/id519654135 Praised as ‘the scientific link between The Smiths and Babyshambles,’ by BBC Introducing, their third demo was picked up by Topman US and is now played in Topman’s New York stores, as well as being on the whole UK in-store playlist. Their debut 3-track EP ‘I Dream of Fires’, released in April 2011, was recorded by Mick Whitnall (Babyshambles) and mastered by Pete Maher (Coldplay/Razorlight). ‘I Dream of Fires’ is a more mature, faster-paced and darker sound than previous demos and has earned comparisons to The Smiths and Joy Division in the press. Since the band’s inception, they’ve headlined some of the best venues across London, Brighton and Bournemouth and have supported the likes of Flashguns, Hares and The Kabeedies. They have also been included twice on the New Music Matters playlist as well as the US IndieFeed podcast. Press: "The scientific link between The Smiths and Babyshambles. With the benefit of time, this could attract a whole generation of teenage angst, in the same way Joy Division did to their generation." BBC Introducing (BBC South) "Sonic joy from Hot Vamp Club. Lovingly crafted doses of sincere indie pop -put it in your ears and try walking without bouncing." Tom Robinson, BBC Introducing (BBC 6) "I love this band." Annie Mac, Radio One (Unsigned Band of The Week) "'The indie pop strum that underpins this may have you kicking back into credible indie mode, but be warned, there’s a bite and menace in the vocal that will grab your guts and string them across the dancefloor." Gill Mills, NME Radio/New Music Matters "★★★★★★★★★★" (10/10) Independent Music News "★★★★" (4/5) Daily Echo "Youthful guitar based pop with a poetic twist, The Maccabbees but with an extra portion of energy." Vicki Blight, Absolute Radio “An indie soundtrack that couldn’t be any more fashionable and chic unless they were visibly endorsed by Vivienne Westwood.” BHOne "You can stop looking for indie-pop bands now. Hot Vamp Club is all you need." Amazing Radio
