About Hosomi
In addition to work as a solo artist, Sakana Hosomi performs and records as leader of groups including Maju and neina, as well as a project named hosomi. Through his signature sound known for a delicate, organic quality, he has won many fans in Japan and overseas. With Maju, Hosomi has released four CDs from Australia's Extreme label. Neina's "formed verse" and "subconsciousness" were released through Mille Plateaux, a famed German label which also has "clicks_+_cuts," a compilation including a track by the group. Neina also contributed a track to a compilation titled "micro blue" by the label called plop. As a session musician, Hosomi has collaborated with quite a few Japanese artists, playing keyboards, programming tracks, doing arrangements, composing, or remixing for Akino Arai, Minakumari,Mi-gu, Sawako, Aen, Aki Onda and Tujiko Noriko among others.
