About Honour Among None

Sharing stages with bands such as Byzantine, Gutworm, Murder One and more locally, Shaped By Fate, Indifference and Dopamine. HONOUR AMONG NONE have been described as Pantera and Slayer's love child, brought up by Biohazard and Machine Head. - A link to old school' metal that is the key to the overall feel of the music, and the all important groove. Using the wide range of having two vocalists covering death metal growls to melodic singing (WITHOUT sounding like that "music by numbers" dubbed "EMO") many different influences mixing heavy-as-hell dual guitar assault with distorted time signatures and deep and dirty palm muting, HONOUR AMONG NONE are getting exciting reviews and are winning over crowds with their original and energetic material. 2006 saw HONOUR AMONG NONE picked to be in the final five bands from the whole of the UKs entries in a competition to play Download Festival 06 in Donnington, which gained thousands of friends and staggering support from all over the UK, including BBC Radio 1s Bethan and Hwy and BridgeFM in Bridgend, only narrowly missing the first place spot by a few hundred votes. In 2006 HONOUR AMONG NONE signed to SEVENSIXES independent label based in Cardiff and released the art of survival (SEVSIX001) available in CD format and also for download from welsh music online retailer http://www.disaudio.com - Full on groove metal that will make your face melt. "Bypassed the crappy band stage, gone straight to kicking the ass of many" "Despite being small in size Wales seems to continually pump us with fantastic new music, Honour Among None are another fine example of this" - StreetTeam UK "This is refreshingly different! Quite a blend of music going on here - i can hear genuine rock in places, along with metal..." - "Very hard to put my finger on, but it sounds like a groovier Static-X in places (minus the vocals, which are more hardcore in tone - Biohazard anyone? With some really strong melodic vocals too - talent)." - "it's a nice eclectic mix of styles being boiled in the same couldron. Chalk yet another good band up for Wales!!" - Aaron RRUK Scout "...energetic rhythms, strong riffing and some inspired moments of melody, particularly on the two stand out tracks, ‘Lost’ and ‘Face To Face’. Quite a few influences spring to mind – Pantera, Dillinger Escape Plan and even Opeth. The drumming is superb throughout and the production of a very high quality. On the strength of this debut release we are looking at another Welsh success story." - DEANO - HARDROCKHOUSE.COM "...Be warned - this is one bad assed bastard of a release and one very worthy of donning the favoured (preferably a tin hat) protective head wear in which to enhance your undoubted listening experience... this 6 track debut has all the hallmarks of an unflinching apocalyptic turbo juiced juggernaut tearing at pace towards any would be viewers daft enough to dare be in the vicinity of its punishing malaise... puss filled hatred contained within literally bleeds through the grooves in its attempt to wrest its vengeful fingers around your throat to throttle the living shit out of you... 'Riot' can but be described only as precision head surgery without anaesthesia... - colossal stuff." - THE SUNDAY EXPERIENCE
