About Hold Dear
Would you like to build a fort, eat toasted sandwiches and watch Audrey Hepburn films until we fall asleep? -Same. Hold Dear are a pop band for the romantically compulsive, for the hopelessly self-reflective, and for anyone who likes to rock out very gently. From a secret hiding spot in Auckland, New Zealand, Chloë Lewer and Jonny Aidney have been busy crafting remedies for the modern condition. They are songs inspired by moments and memories, misconceptions and missed connections. Formed in August 2010, Hold Dear got off to a busy start, recording their debut EP at Roundhead Studios, shooting a music video for a special Halloween single called ‘Bones’, indulging in a brief affair with Wellington, and opening for US girl-crush, Mirah.
