Hillsboro is a band coming from the pine-tree filled forests of the pacific-northwest from members of Victoria, BC bands Wept (formerly known as ACAB ROCKY) and Kyoto Banana Star. The energy they create is a polished mix of the midwest-emo of the 2010s and the alternative rock of the 1990s. For them, what shines through is the moody darkness, the disheveled energy, and the aggressive stage presence. Musically, whilst sometimes playing conventions of genre straight, they borrow from a mix of house, punk, and modern pop. Hillsboro is interesting.
