About Hidden History
Hidden History blends metal and alternative rock into a distinct listening experience that falls somewhere between the wall of sound generated by artists such as Saosin or Linkin Park and the sophisticated yet relatable melodies of bands like Muse or Incubus. The Seattle-based band consists of frontman Danny Bullis (guitar, lead vocals), Joel Burgess (bass), and Tyler Messer (drums). The band is managed by Jay Brescia, who has been passionately working alongside of the band to help push them to the next level. The band recently released their latest studio effort, Mysterion, a collection of songs that showcases the band's broad vision and versatile sound. Independently published by the band, the album isn't only a sonic showcase, but also a testimony of the band's thought-provoking lyricism and conceptual depths. From the imperative opener "Callous Heart" to the aptly titled final track "Goodbye", the band delivers a diverse and heavy playlist where melody and energy are essential in equal doses. Mysterion topped out at #1 in Alternative on Amazon within the first day of the release. Each song has seen consistent popularity among listeners on iTunes, as well as helping push the band to a Seattle ranking of #10 on ReverbNation. Along with playing as many shows around the Seattle area as possible, Hidden History is rapidly widening its scope of influence throughout the Pacific Northwest. Hidden History has been gaining a lot of very strong support from its closest followers, as well as building up a fan base; both of which are bolstering the band's accelerating momentum, day by day. The band is on the bill for Warped Tour in Portland, OR this fall, as well as The Seattle Hempfest and XFest in early September. Aiming to leave the dregs of their 9 - 5 jobs and hit the west coast, the band aims to begin full-time touring, writing, creating, and producing new music in 2016. Creating something out of a sense of deep-rooted passion for the art of making music and standing for something meaningful is what Hidden History is all about, and it's an exciting chapter in the band's - ahem - history.
