About Hi-Lite Scan
HI-LITE SCAN (Deep/Vocal/Garage/Disco House) Hi-Lite Scan is well known to the German and international house scene. Because of numerous remixes, e.g. for Eastwest, WEA, Sony, BMG, ZYX etc. Hi-Lite Scan could steadily build up an own fan community, which can be equally found amongst DJ's and house club crowds. Beside house celebrities such as Groovemaster K, Soulproviders, Daniel Klein and others Hi-Lite Scan belongs to the remix team for eastwest/fuel from 1999 to 2002. In 2001 they delivered an excellent constructed remix of the club hit claiming S.O.S. Band remake "If I had a choice" by Silverstone, reaching number 24 in the German Dance Charts (DDC). With remixes for Boogie Knights "Pornostar" in 1999, for Positive Pole "My Music" in 2001 (both fuel) and for Rouleaux feat. Gérard Marquis "Like a Summerbreeze" (BMG/Cocunut) Hi-Lite Scan reached again number 28, 34 and 32 in the DDC. In 2002 Hi-Lite Scan had the honour to remix Thelma Houston´s worldwide hit "Don´t leave me this way" (Soultans) for BMG/Coconut. Hi-Lite Scan´s vinyl "Work the box/Hear me most" was an international success and reached the Top 10 of the world-wide Discomania sales charts! In the summer of 2002 the single was compiled on the British cult sampler "House Warming 02" which regularly sells more than 10,000 copies. Hi-Lite Scan´s own production "Hi-Lite Scan meets René Süss - Looking for Love EP" could be found for several weeks on number 11 of the American "USA Disco & Dance Top 40" charts and on number 7 of the "Club/Radio Crossover Rhythm Dance Cuts" (Airplay charts) in fall 2002. Hi-Lite Scan stands for a style that is based between deep garage and solid vocal house. On the other hand the two house producers cannot hide their ambition for funky disco and filter house. In their tracks they combine straight and groovy bass lines with filtered underground chords and spacious sounds which create an unique atmosphere. Quite often oldschool trigger vocals come together with catchy hook lines forming the recognisable and unmistakable characteristics of Hi-Lite Scan who are always moving between underground and overground without denying their house roots.
