Hi-L0w is an EDM artist/producer/dj from Dallas, Tx although he would say he is a "musician" in the true sense of the word. His real name is Ryan Durkin. He was born on October 13th, 1987 and is a textbook example of a true Libra. He was introduced to the guitar at age 7 and hasn't looked back since. During his teenage years he expanded his knowledge of music and began creating and finding his unique style.He also learned to play the trombone and piano during this time. By the time he was in high school he had been the lead guitarist for two local punk bands and solidified his composing skills as well as tutoring beginners in music. Graduating in 2006 left him with plenty of time to explore life where he began learning a wide variety of lifes lessons that influence his music today.He said this about some of those influences, " After i graduated high school i was left with this feeling of urgency to find out who i really was. I had some great times then along with some bad of course without the bad times the good times wouldn't be as sweet. What i was able to take away from all those experiences is that life is not perfect, easy, or fun always thats just the reality of it simple as that. I ,also, learned you have the power to make your life wonderful and you can do this by learning how to look at things. I was fortunate enough to have many mentors and family that guided me towards happiness but that alone is not enough the most important part to being happy is never giving up hope in yourself or others in your life. If you can always be hopeful and confident everything else you want in life will follow.". That is a quote that Ryan lives by every single day he says. In his most recent years he began learning Electronic style and was naturally drawn to it because it enabled him to incorporate a massive amount of instruments and sounds into his work. You can find him in Dallas working out of his studio most days where he continues to progress his musical journey helping young musicians and creating new music.
