About Heather Cox
Heather Josephine Cox was born in Jonesville, North Carolina where she developed her phenomenal voice, and strong character. Growing up in the church, Heather was always granted a venue to showcase her pipes, and let the world know that she meant business when it came to her one true love, singing. Heather’s father, Jon Cox, a pastor and award winning gospel singer, always encouraged her to pursue the dream of singing. In 2006, Heather landed where millions tried, but few succeeded, American Idol Season 5. Heather’s determination won her a spot in the final 24 to perform in front of over 20 million viewers. Heather’s fan base grew dramatically over the next three weeks as her popularity and undeniable charm entranced the public and the judges. Unfortunately, after a few weeks in the top 24, Heather was eliminated from competition after a close race to remain on the program. Heather took the bad news in stride, and gave one of her best performances during her idol career during her exit. Today, Heather is embarking on an exciting new adventure as she creates her debut cd, The Journey. The inspirational pop album will showcase Heather’s exquisite range, control, and tone. Songs like, “Letter From God”and “Girl Most Likely to” infuse passion, and fun into a “from the heart cd” that speaks to it’s listeners, and makes a difference. Heather’s passion for music, strong faith, beauty, brains and determination have made her the affection of many fans, sponsors, and even landed her a feature film role with George Clooney in "Leatherheads".
