About Harry Rijnbergen

Harry Rijnbergen is Dutch musician from the town of Oude Pekela, The Netherlands. He is best known as the frontman and songwriter of sixties beat outfit, RO-D-YS (1965-1969), who enjoyed great Dutch chart success with their Rijnbergen penned singles, 'Take Me Home' and 'Just Fancy'. Rijnbergen joined Zen in 1969, almost immediately after the RO-D-YS' demise. The group's final singles, just prior to their split in 1970, were written by Rijnbergen. Rijnbergen's new band, Harley Jay, released just one single in 1973 ('Rosie' b/w 'Lifetime') before calling it a day in 1974. Rijnbergen has remained active in music. He wrote and recorded a batch of solo songs in 1999. Two of these tunes, 'Rock & Roller' and 'Mysterious Ways', were released on a RO-D-YS compilation CD in 2002.
