In 2005, during Kristian Day's freshman year in college, he was invited(along with 15 other international artists) to participate in a collaboration with with experimental sound composer, Hal McGee. The focus was to create an album that was to compose musical pieces that were inspired by space and the universe of the unknown. The track that was born was called "Ice in a Black Place".
