About Greg Goggins & Scott Emmerman

Greg Goggins (sax, flute, piano, percussion, & vocal) and Scott Emmerman (guitars, drum machine and synth programming, audio engineering & producing) met in the early 1970's while playing in the jazz band at Northeastern Illinois University. They worked together in the Chicago based jazz-rock band "Treeborn" which recorded an album called "Inner Flight" on Dharma Records. Treeborn toured extensively throughout the midwest. Greg & Scott then formed a band called "Pegasus" which had a harder, funk influenced instrumental sound and the highlight of this incarnation was when they performed as the opening act on a college tour for the band "UK", which featured former members of the bands Yes and King Crimson. Greg & Scott relocated to Los Angeles in 1981 and worked on various musical projects such as composing and performing on Tim Weisberg's "High Risk" album and other studio work, which led to their composing and recording the song "Wheelchair Ballet" for the "China Beach Music & Memories" soundtrack album. Since then, Scott relocated to North Carolina and currently records and performs in the band Equinox, (www.equinoxnc.com) who have recorded two CD's. He has had his compositions featured as a soundtrack for the Weather Channel cable TV station. Scott & Greg have continued to collaborate whenever possible and have composed and recorded a body of material over the years.
