About Goodbye, Blue Monday
Pennsylvania emo band of the Mid90s. Featuring Mike Parsell of Frail and Brian Hutchinson of I Am Heaven on guitars, Brian sang. Less hardcore and screamy than I Am Heaven and musically less chuggy than Frail and similar to a lot of (more) modern stuff like Yaphet Kotto or Rockets and Bluelights; lots of driving guitars and drumming with someone singing at the top of his lungs, without going "bleauurgh". They released a demo cassette, a self-titled 7" and a split with Across Five Aprils. Brian and his brother Todd had a band called Lollycolumn in 1994 which released one 7", and would go on to play on a 7" with North after Goodbye, Blue Monday. As recently as 2020 Brian has been releasing music under Hulqamaniaq on bandcamp: https://hulqamaniaq.bandcamp.com/ Mike also played drums for The Mandela Strikeforce before joining Goodbye, Blue Monday, and would go on to release some albums with former Franklin member Brian Sokel as AM/FM. Chris and Tim previously played together withTrue High Fidelity
