About Go Go Go Go!
Go Go Go Go! was formed in 2005 out of the ashes of a boredom and a previous band that broke up, on account of their drummer moving to Sydney to persue male modeling. Naturally this was the next progression, after attempting to sound professional and failing, they realised they had to embrace the mess and create more of it. Jenaya took influence from the the drummer turned guitarist model friend and embraced the joy of drop-tunings and took it a bit further by not tuning her guitar for weeks on end. Her guitar style has been described as having 'got it' noise wise, however this description generally comes from the some what inebriated. Petatron is 99% self taught on the drums (having had one lesson on timing sometime in early 2007). She has been known to lose the kick pedal mid song and favours the sound of her beat up kit over all others. Not a fan of mic stands as they get in the way of playing drums, Tron (as she is affectionately known) one day dreams of having her very own Madonna style microphone. Describing the music itself is often a difficult task, so one is left to quote captain planet 'when these powers combine', yes, when these powers combine it's a chaotic mess straight out of the garage, or a tantrum that a small child has thrown involving pots, pans and tangled wires. 'What a lovely mess' ones mother would cry! Go times 4 (for those who can't quite get their tongues around Go Go Go Go!) have played in various laundromats and backyards, as well as fine establishments as Ric's Bar, Fat Louies, the Tongue & Groove and the Red Rattler (Sydney). They have played with bands such as Ouch My Face! (Melbourne), the Art of the State, Marl Karx, Me | Mu & Meow and the Night Crash. In December 2007 their track "Politically Involved Grrrls (PIGS)" was featured on the compilation "Glitch Village Volume One" (available on Glitch City Records) and with the help of producer Luke Reichelt and Dead Villain Records released their first EP "Crochet of Fire" in June 2008. August 2008 saw Go Go Go Go! experimenting with switching instruments, and released an EP titled "Don't Answer Your Phone" which featured three tracks with Jenaya on drums and Petatron on guitar. Gox4, totally infectious. Youĺl love this shitxcore.
