A really interesting release of a minimally recorded new wave/garage punk hybrid; something that's almost reminiscent of Crass -- Penis Envy era -- and the Effigies, if they had a bellowing female lead vocalist. Accompanied by a riot grrrl feel of Bikini Kill, Huggy Bear, and the Need, Glass Candy and the Shattered Theater are angry to the point of not being able to tighten their sound; this is a good thing, though. Clumsily fun, and a nice B-side of David Bowie's "Hang Onto Yourself," sloppy piano solo and all.
