About Giorgio Gentili

Giorgio Gentili ( Venice , 1669 - Venice , 1737 ) was an Italian composer and violinist . He was principal violinist of the San Marco orchestra and, from 1702 ca. to approx. 1717 , "Master of Instruments" to the Beggars. Six collections of his instrumental music, including two from concerts (opp. 5 and 6), were published between 1701 and 1716 .
