1985, was the starting shot for DJ Gianni N. He began his career with own mix tapes. The style was Italodisco but also the first “Housesounds” were on his tapes, they came from U.S. and Italy into Switzerland. He was playing on his beginning in various “Youth centres”. What is so special on this? He had only one Turntable to his disposition!!! 1986, he was founding with friends the “moving Disco“ CHELLENGER, it was one of the most famous “moving Discos”, with 500 – 800 visitors(on this time a lot!). 1991, after CHELLENGER he took a break about 3 years, but makes still House - Mix tapes for his friends. 1996, was the opening of the DJ– Shop Number 1 in Wettingen.He got along well with the owner of the shop and made commands of House Vinyl. With his boss he visited Milan various times to buy new records. At the same time he meet DJ Antoine, who was just opening his record-distribution, from now on he was also buying the Vinyls for the DJ– Shop Number 1 from there. He was getting along very well with DJ Antoine and played there for on the known Housecafe Party’s. 1997, was the opening of the Cultcafe in Buchs, there he was resident from the start. In the same year he played music with his idol DJ Whiteside in the Ugly Club in Richterswil. It was one of the most emotional evening, playing with his idol. 1997 was a very good year for DJ Gianni N, he also became a residency in the Time Club Baden. In November 2002 until June 2004 he works also for the recordshop “DJ Service”, the recordstore from DJ Jamie Lewis / Purple Music. From his begining till today, DJ Gianni N is a very experienced DJ, playing in a lots of Clubs and Bars like: Ugly, 2.Akt, 3.Akt, Time, Cultcafe, Housecafe, Pravda, Scarlett, Kittchen Arosa, Herb, Terminus, Azzido, Movie, Bolero, 0815 Bar, El Harem, Metro, Bagno Paradiso, Kaufleuten Lounge, Diagonal, Pampelonne, etc. In Germany: Frankfurt: „190 East“, „King Kamehameha (Suite)“ Trier: „Forum“, „Messepark“(BigCityBeats) Mainz: „Messegelände“(BigCityBeats) Heidelberg: „8 Grad“ Ludwigshafen: „Loft“ Köln: „Diamonds“(BigCityBeats) Essen: „Weststadthalle“(BigCityBeats) Saarbrücken: „No 1“, „Gleis 21“, „N8chtwerk“ , „Luv“ Luxembourg: „Peche“, „Popdanceclub“ In Italy: Naples “Freezer Club” In Mallorca: King Kamehameha Club/ Resident since 2006 In Ibiza: Resident Amnesia, Saturday at Zenith Party’s in 2002 White Party/ Amnesia We Love Space/ Space El Bar/ Pacha El Hotel Mambo Bar, Resident since 2002 Bambuddha Grove/ Eukalounge Radio Dance FM La Biela Lolas La Diosa Lo Cura Geminis Coastline, Pre-Party Resident of “Purple Music” Kanya, Pre-Party Resident of “Purple Music” Jockey Club, at the beach of Salinas Sol de Sierra, at the beach of Cala Llonga Blue Marlin, at the beach of Cala Jondal Particular, at the beach of Cala Jondal In summer 2002 work and managed the recordshop “DJ Beat” in Ibiza. He played also together with the world known: Alex Neri, DJ Sneak, Todd Terry, Joe T. Vanelli, Joe Montana, Bobby D’Ambrosio, DJ Oliver, Tom Novy, Francesco Diaz and many more. Frankie Knuckles was very interested and totally fascinated from his style,and all from the “Def-Mix” family love his Mix-CD's. His Message: House music will never die, 'cause House is a feeling !
