About GYPSY ROSE

There are at least four Gypsy Roses: 1) The Gothenburg hard rock band who now feature former Bangalore Choir/Sircle of Silence vocalist David Reece. 2) A US metal band from Albuquerque who released two demos in the early '80s. 3) A heavy metal band from Osaka, Japan, who recorded two demos, 'Evil Metal' & 'Starship of Destiny'. 4) A Canadian hard rock band- featuring Shooting Star drummer Steve Thomas. 5) Melodic Heavy Metal/Hard Rock from Aurora, Colorado. Released 'Lewd, Rude, & Tattooed' in 1989. 6) Melodic Heavy Metal/Hard Rock from Seattle, Washington formed in 1987. They split up in the fall of '89 when Gene Simmons threatened legal action due to the Canadian band that he was managing having the same name. Three of the ex-members quickly formed a band called Fantazia, along with a drummer named Dave.
