There are more than one band with the name "Golpe De Estado". One of them is an alternative music band from Portugal. In the late 80's two bands rehersal in the same studio (Sétima Legião and Linha Geral) and members of those two started working together (Tiago Lopes e Paulo Abelho). In '89 was released a maxi-single "Rev. 25/Um Caso Que Está A Dar Que Falar", producted by Carlos Maria Trindade. The first song included samples of the disc "As Vozes do 25 de Abril" and the second song included a sample of the confrontation between police forces Terreiro do Paço. In 1993 was edited the album "Golpe de Estado", that counted with several participations, and names such as Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, Francisco Ribeiro, Olavo Bilac, João Cabeleira and Dora. Golpe De Estado is also the name of a french street punk & ska band who released 2 albums : Metal et Beton and Toujours plus encore moins.
