About Gelousy

Gelousy is a Latvian rock band from Rīga, Latvia. The band was founded in 1996 by guitarists Eduards Ancāns (ex-Grindmaster Dead, ex-Big Love & Sex Forever) and Edgars Ķauķis (ex-Huskvarn), and vocalist Jānis Vanags (ex-Nejautā). After several lineup changes in its early years, the band settled on five members for more than a decade: Ancāns, Ķauķis, Vanags, Jurģis Blumbergs, and Pāvils Bobrovskis. Ķauķis died on September 25, 2019. Current members: Jānis Vanags - vocals; Eduards Ancāns (Voiceks Voiska) - guitars; Armands Butkevičs - bass; Māris Čistovs - drums. Former members: Edgars Ķauķis - guitars (died 2019); Daneks Sietiņš - bass; Ivo Blūms - bass; Jurģis Blumbergs - bass (died 2024); Jānis Frišfelds (Exit, Linga) - bass; Roberts Kuļenko - drums; Pāvils Bobrovskis (Exit) - drums; Pauls Ozols (Mary Jane, Inokentijs Mārpls) - drums. http://www.facebook.com/gelousyband
