About Funny Death
Funny Death is an electronic music producer mostly influenced by synthpop, dreampop, french house, shoegaze & punk music. As an animator/illustrator who fell in love with Japanimation during his childhood, Funny Death tends to sample Japanese animated series/movies from the 80's and the 90’s. His music is vacillating between the nostalgia of the 80's and the curiosity of contemporary electronica's evolution; between the reverbs and delays of dreampop and shoegaze and the sharp sound of electronica and punk music.2 different characters were born so far, each one identifiable by a specific handmade mask. The music producer behind Funny Death started in 2006, but the first official album release happened much later, in 2012, when « Start at The End » was released. 3 LP and 2 EP releases followed: « Limits » (2013 LP), « Blackout » (2013 EP), « Gone » (2013 LP) and finally « Gardenias on Venus » (2013 EP).
