About Fulibulbus
Fulibulbus have now changed their name to China Shop Bull. Fulibulbus is the mutant offspring of the Fulibulbusaurus, a monster that cannot be killed by conventional ice ages. Born in the summer of 2004 at an earthly and hazy festival in Englands Lake District, it was decided that the core objective of fulibulbus was to provoke dancing and partying wherever it went. Fulibulbus began to write its first batch of tunes in the autumn of its first year, consisting of a bassist called The Camel, a guitarist and singer described as The Creature and a drummer known only as Odd Robgobin. Through influences coming from the likes of King Tubby, The Prodigy, Jimi Hendrix, Asian Dub Foundation, Kyuss, some home-horticulture and plenty of jamming, several new songs where ready to be shown to the world. Dub reggae, and infectious riffs coupled with dance beats seemed to be the sound. Based in Lancashire and with some previous success in different bands, the three musicians were able to play fulibulbus songs to crowds waiting for something new. The response was a good one. Fulibulbus feasted on this, gained more power, wrote more tunes and also gained strong allies. Through its whole life, and many lives before, fulibulbus had been close to two other mutants The SmackDaddy MCz (being ill Phil and Jimmy Sperm) whos raw-to-the-bone brand of hip hop fitted perfectly alongside fulibulbus at gigs. So well infact that before long The SDMCz became integrated into part of the fulibulbus set. More successful gigging followed and took fulibulbus into 2006 hungry for more. Fulibulbus needed to find its home and so followed in the steps of King Kong, and moved to the city! Leeds. Unfortunately Odd Robgoblin couldnt stomach living in the civilized world, having lived in a cave all his life and so stayed in his lair in Lancashire to concentrate on his other musical projects. ill Phil also could not settle in these surroundings and instead stomped to Japan vowing someday to return. Fulibulbus needed drums but it wasnt long before Revlord, already a friend of fulibulbus took the task. Revlord provided the band with more banging beats and more of a push towards the live dance music fulibulbus was trying to emulate. The next few months saw more successfully rowdy gigs, new songs and Jimmy Sperm taking a full time role in fulibulbus. Then by a chance meeting in a park, a jam was organised with a local trumpet player. It didnt take long for fulibulbus to realise that this complemented their style of music and before long, a new and even more bulbus fulibulbus hit the streets, with Glynn the Merciless becoming the fifth limb. Just days before A tour of the darkest corners of the UK was embarked on, The sixth member "Dead eye McNobby" joined to boost the brass section and play a second trumpet part. The six members of Fulibulbus set off for the tour leaving a catostrophic trail of destruction and empty cider bottles(!) Now complete, Fulibulbus has been spending much time in its lair preparing for the future and also playing at clubs, venues, parties, raves and places that many hard working bands would'nt even dream of attempting to get to.
